Having survived elementary school with undiagnosed dyslexia, Norah herself is familiar with the sense of isolation and confusion that result from struggling in school with no apparent explanation. Her own experience with these frustrations drove her to create an initiative that turns isolation into connection and confusion into empowerment.
Noticing how many dyslexic students are hurt by falling behind their peers, Norah designed this site for two reasons: to make more people aware of dyslexia and to establish a general support group. The project provides accessible tools for students, parents, and teachers to use, enabling the dyslexic to survive, yes, but also to thrive.
This is an expression of Norah's belief that no child should have to struggle alone the way she struggled, that knowledge, understanding, and acceptance can turn the dyslexic experience around from one of frustration into one of resilience.
